Our Cross-Cultural Program promotes respectful relationships among Boston's diverse communities by working across racial, religious, class, neighborhood and ethnic boundaries to build bridges and find common ground. We seek to bring diverse groups together to work collectively to foster understanding, challenge injustice and combat intolerance.
The IIC's Cross-Cultural Program advances these ends through:
- Grassroots Community Organizing & Leadership Development Activities
- Seminars, Classes & Workshops
- Advocacy & Coalition Building
- Antiracism Training & Multicultural Programs
- Educational Social & Cultural Events
- Community Dialogues
The IIC's Cross-Cultural Program has received local, national and international recognition. Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, former Massachusetts Governor Paul Cellucci and the President's Initiative on Race have all cited our work for its exemplary and innovative approach.
