No! We were founded by Irish people in 1989 and today serve immigrants from more than 100 countries every year. Our single biggest client group remains Irish immigrants but we are proud to welcome newcomers from all over the world.

can you help me apply for citizenship?

Yes! We have been helping immigrants from all over the world become U.S. citizens for more than 10 years. We can help you gather the necessary documents, compile your application, and prepare for your test and interview. We hold regular citizenship classes.

can you help me get healthcare?

We provide regular free preventative health clinics staffed by volunteer doctors and dentists. Call us for details.

how can i support the iic?

IIC is a federally approved 501(c)3 charitable organization and so your gift to us is tax-deductible. We depend on your gifts to provide our programs and services to the immigrant community. Gifts can be made via this website, by mailing checks, by attending our events, or by having your employer add IIC to their matching gift program.

are there volunteer opportunities for me?

Yes! IIC was started by volunteers and we still depend on the service of volunteers and interns today. We have opportunities across all of our programs. Many opportunities are year-round and others match with the academic calendar.

IIC is a safe and confidential place for all.

can i get a greencard through you?

Our drop-in centers and legal clinics are staffed by volunteer attorneys who can answer your immigration and citizenship related questions and can explore the options for you individual case.

do you teach language classes at the iic?

Yes! We provide intermediate and advanced ESOL classes in both the mornings and the evenings. Call us for details and schedules.
