Volunteers founded the IIC in 1989 and continue to be the backbone of our organization today.
Interns and volunteers from all walks of life make IIC happen. They work and assist in all areas of the IIC -- policy development, fundraising, legislative initiatives, workshops, legal clinics and client assistance. We are proud that many of are volunteers are former IIC clients themselves.
Volunteers contribute hundreds of hours every year impacting the lives and livelihood of their communities. Whether you can contribute five hours of your time each year or five hours of your time each day, that is five hours that our clients would not otherwise have. We need you.

"I volunteer at IIC clinics because I enjoy working with people and helping them in a meaningful way. Also, as the son of immigrants I feel that I can help people like my parents establish a life in the United States.”
-- Denis Fleming, volunteer attorney.
You don't need to be a lawyer or a student, and we are always looking for fresh faces to keep IIC growing and moving. If you would like to volunteer or intern in any of our departments, call 617-542-7654 or e-mail questions@iicenter.org
